My 2016 in review

As I prepared to welcome in a brand new year, I spent some time reviewing 2016. It was another fantastic year, personally and professionally, I feel very blessed.

Lots of family fun, I am very grateful for that! And hope 2017 has more of that for us all.

Career wise, was a busy, busy, busy year. I had the opportunity to work on some really exciting and some challenging projects, including providing public relations services to a global ngo, during the International Aids Conference in Durban in July. Micasa together with Big Nuz joined international stars, like B-Flow, Queen Latifah and Common to lend support to the call for more funding to fight HIV/AIDS. It was also a new experience moderating the media briefings, in the past I would have been part of the media contingent. The other highlight was focusing on my issues and crisis communications work in Africa, the training workshop in Zimbabwe really stood out for me.

I am hoping to write more, learn more, spend as much time as I can with my loved ones, get fitter and have a kick ass work year.
